NobelReplace™ implants are offered in two body geometries, parallel (Fig.13, left) and tapered (Fig.13, right). Both geometries surface treated area extends uniformly from the edge of the implant/abutment platform to the apical and a diminishing thread depth towards the apical of the implant. A small secondary groove is fashioned underneath the main V shaped threads to enhance initial stability. The tapered version is machined without cutting flutes (Fig.16) at the apical portion while the parallel version is produced with cutting flutes (Fig.14) . Although each tapered implant is actually 0.6mm longer than advertised. 3.5mm platform parallel wall geometry implants are produced in four (10, 11.5, 13, 15mm) lengths while all other platform diameter implants are offered in one additional length of 18mm.
