Points of Implant Direct Legacy™ (I, II) Dental Implant:

Legacy™ implants are available with a soluble blast media (SBM) surface treatment or a hydroxylapatite (HA) plasma sprayed surface coating. The SBM surface is sand blasted with hydroxylapatite particles and acid washed to eliminate any embedded HA particles. Four color coded (3.0 blue, 3.5 green, 4.5 purple, 5.7 yellow) Prosthetic platform diameters are offered depending on the Legacy™ version. 3.0mm platform diameter implants are only available for the Legacy™ III product line. The implant/abutment indexing feature is a internal hexagon of prosthetic platform diameter

dependent dimensions. All Legacy™ implants are offered in five lengths of 8, 10, 11.5, 13, and 16mm, packaged with a two component cover screw/extender. The extender attaches to the cover screw, converting the cover screw in to a complete 2mm height healing abutment. All Implant Direct™ implants are made of grade 5 titanium.

Legacy™ I implants are machined with a tapered geometry and a shallow outside "V" thread pattern with micro threads at the coronal top third. Three implant diameters are produced in diameters of 3.7, 4.7 and 5.7mm. Each implant is packaged with a pre mounted plastic fixture mount/carrier and a cover screw/extender. The plastic fixture mount/carrier is only to be used without tools or torque wrench. A separate fixture driver is required after removal of the plastic fixture mount to completely seat the implant in to the osteotomy site.

Legacy™ II implants are machined with a tapered geometry but straight coronal top third. A aggressively deeper thread pattern towards the apical portion of the implant and micro threads at the top third of the implant are a signature feature of Legacy™ II product group. 3.5mm prosthetic platform diameter implants are available in two implant body diameters of 3.7 and 4.2mm. 4.5mm prosthetic platform diameter implants are machined with a 4.7mm body diameter only. 5.7mm prosthetic platform diameter implants are produced in two body diameters of 5.7 and 7mm whereby the 7mm body diameter implant tapers aggressively toward the apical. Each implant is packaged with a pre mounted fixture mount that can be utilized as a impression coping and temporary abutment after modification.
